<p>A quick release mechanism 1, suitable for attachment to wearable items, comprises a panel 2, a rigid pull strip 4 with a pull handle 5. Bridging sections 3 extend over the rigid pull strip 4. In use, attaching straps (11, 12, figure 3) of a wearable item (10, figure 3) may be looped about the pull strip 4 between the bridging sections 3 securing the garment. Pulling the pull strip 4 out of the bridging sections 3 releases the attaching straps and quickly releases the wearable item. The pull strip 4 is attached at it upper end by two elastic cords 6. The loops on the attaching straps 11, 12 can be easily threaded back on to the pull strip 4 between the bridging sections 3 to re-assemble the mechanism.</p> |
