发明名称 Inorganic scintillator or luminophore based on potassium-lutetium sulfide doped with europium (KLuS2:Eu)
摘要 In the present invention, there is described an inorganic scintillator or luminophore based on europium doped potassium-lutetium sulfide of the general formula KLuSi2:Eue2+, wherein the concentration range of the dopant is 0.0001 mole percent to 3 mole percent. (KLui1-x EuixSi2-y; x = 10e-6 to 0.03; y = 0 to x/2). The compound KLuSi2:Eue2+ has been prepared by chemical reaction of the starting substances Ki2COi3, Lui2Oi3 and Eui2Oi3 under hydrogen sulfide flow. Phase purity has been confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis of a sample and by evaluation of diffractograms. When irradiated by X-rays, the substance KLuSi2:Eu exhibits an intense emission in the region 520 nm, and can be therefore preferably used for the detection of ionizing radiation of semiconductor detectors. Thanks to the presence of intense excitation bands in the near UV to blue spectrum and the own emission in a broad band with a maximum of 520 nm, the substance KLuSi2:Eue2+ can be used when designing white light sources excited by LED in the near ultraviolet or in violet- blue spectrum, i.e., 350 to 460 nm.
