Provided are a water channel structure and a construction method of the water channel structure. The present invention includes a foundation part (100) which is formed in a net structure so that flowing water permeates and is discharged in case of rain; a bottom plate (200) which is formed in the upper part of the foundation part (100); and sidewall parts (300) which are formed on both sides of the bottom plate (200). The present invention is able to reduce the runoff quantity of a rainfall, increases the content of underground water, enables the movement of animals, and enables a smooth vegetation by proposing the water channel structure and the construction method of the water channel structure in which multiple grooves (301) are formed in a width direction and mutually apart along the longitudinal direction of the bottom plate (200) in order to penetrate the foundation part (100), and a protrusion member (400) is inserted into the groove (301) so that flowing water is absorbed or overflows.
