The present invention relates to a method for controlling a gear shift pattern upon lane departure, and the method includes the following steps: determining whether the lane departure occurs; if the lane departure occurs, determining whether an accelerator pedal is manipulated; and if the accelerator pedal is not manipulated, changing the gear shift pattern. According to the present invention, an engine brake is operated through down shift, thus preventing the collision of the vehicle having the occurrence of a lane departure against the neighboring vehicle at a high speed. Furthermore, the down shift line for changing the gears of the vehicle to the gears lower than the current gears is moved and rapidly changed to low speed gears, thus increasing a fuel cut operating section to improve the fuel efficiency. |
