The present invention relates to a positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery, a method for producing the same and to a lithium secondary battery comprising the same. The positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery according to the present invention comprises a Li2MO4 / X composite, wherein M is one or two or more elements selected from a group consisting of Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Al, Mn, V, Cr, Fe, Co, Zn, Zr, Nb, Mo, Ag, Ge, Sn, Mg, Si, S, Ca, Ti, Cu, Ba, W and Pb, and X is a carbon source, lithium titanium oxide (Li4Ti5O12) or a mixture thereof. According to the present invention, positive electrode active material having superior electrical conductivity and mechanical characteristics can be produced in an economically advantageous manner. Particularly, the carbon source or lithium titanium oxide (LTO) uniformly dispersed on or contained in the particulate surface of Li2MM'O4 provides the composite of the positive electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery with improved electrical conductivity. In addition, the positive electrode active material according to the present invention has energy density suitable for a secondary battery, and superior stability and safety, and has a long life cycle while maintaining excellent battery characteristics. |
