<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform content use control that allows only a specific host device registered in a medium to reproduce contents from the medium.SOLUTION: A host device outputs a host device ID that is an identifier of its own device, to a medium; and the medium stores the host device ID in a storage unit, to register the host device as a content reproduction-permitted device. In addition, the medium transmits the host device ID stored in the medium, to the host device; and the host device performs matching processing between the host device ID received from the medium and the host device ID held by the host device. The host device receives the host device ID from the medium and performs the matching processing, within a content reproduction period; continues content reproduction if the matching processing has succeeded; and stops the content reproduction if the matching processing has not succeeded.</p> |
