<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information acquisition device and an object detection device employing the information acquisition device that easily enable a design of a dot pattern such that uniqueness of the dot pattern is secured in a search range of a reference area, and so as to distribute dots at preliminarily set density and uniformly as much as possible.SOLUTION: The information acquisition device acquires distance information on the basis of a reference image imaged by a CMOS image sensor when a reference surface is irradiated with laser light having a dot pattern and an actual measurement image imaged by the CMOS image sensor when actually measured. Herein, the dot pattern is configured such that the dot pattern includes the same number of dots, any of a plurality of dot units U0 to U4 different in a distribution from each other is arranged periodically in a lateral direction, and further the number of dot units included in one line and the number of dot units included in a line adjacent to the line are different from each other.</p> |
