The method involves providing a part of a surface of an examination object with strongly absorbing objects i.e. metallic wire. Measurement data (p) are detected during rotational movement between radiation sources (C2, C4) of a computed tomography system (C1) and the examination object. A limited area between the radiation sources and detectors (C3, C5) of a measurement area is detected with respect to the measurement data. Parts of the examination object are temporarily provided outside of the measurement area during measurement area detection. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for reconstruction of image data of an examination object from measurement data (2) a control- and computing unit for reconstruction of image data of an examination object from measurement data (3) a computer program comprising a program code medium to execute a method for obtaining measurement data of an examination object (4) a computer program product for executing a method for obtaining measurement data of an examination object.
