PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the security risk of impersonation.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus using service provided by a server device installs an application program including encrypted common authentication information of the image forming apparatus and secret key information for decrypting the common authentication information to develop the program in a non-volatile memory; decrypts the common authentication information on the basis of the secret key information to store the information in the non-volatile memory; requests encrypted individual authentication information of the image forming apparatus to the server device on the basis of the decrypted common authentication information and identification information for identifying the image forming apparatus under management; acquires the individual authentication information from the server device; requests use permission information of the service to the server device on the basis of individual authentication information obtained by decrypting the acquired individual authentication information and service use information under management; and acquires the use permission information from the server device.
