PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which is reduced in rolling resistance of the tire while maintaining the effect of a rim guard to protect a rim.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire of the present invention includes a rim guard protruding outward in the tire width direction on a tire sidewall part. In a cross section in the tire width direction when the tire is mounted on an applicable rim, filled to a specified inner pressure, and is in a no-load state, the rim guard has at least one apex. The outer contour line of the rim guard, located further outside in the tire radial direction than the apex located on the outermost side in the tire radial direction among the at least one apex of the rim guard, has a circular arc shape with the center of curvature outside the tire. A curvature radius R of the outer contour line is 5 mm or more and 40 mm or less. A tire radial direction distance H from the apex located on the innermost side in the tire radial direction among the at least one apex of the rim guard to the outermost point of a rim flange in the tire radial direction is 2 mm or more and 40 mm or less. |
