PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy in discriminating whether a collision body against a vehicular bumper is a pedestrian or a collision body other than a pedestrian.SOLUTION: In a front bumper 12 including a collision determination system 10, a front surface 34a of a spacer part 34 is disposed on a vehicle rear side beyond a front surface 32A of a body part 32. Therefore, in the case that a collision body other than a pedestrian collides with the front bumper 12, the spacer part 34 deforms to a chamber member 20 side subsequent to compressive deformation of the body part 32, thus a deformation amount of the chamber member 20 can be made small. Accordingly, a difference is made large between an output value of a pressure sensor 24 in the case that the collision body other than a pedestrian collides with the front bumper 12, and the output value in the case that a pedestrian collides with the front bumper 12. Consequently, even if a variation occurs in the deformation amount of the chamber member 20, a threshold is set for adequately discriminating the collision body against the front bumper 12 in order to improve accuracy in discriminating whether the collision body against the front bumper 12 is a pedestrian or not. |
