Disclosed is a system and method for remote writing using a mobile device for enabling the writing on a display device, located in a remote place, by detecting the motion of the mobile device using a gyro sensor embedded in the mobile device. The remote writing system using the mobile device comprises the mobile device and a display unit. The mobile device includes: a gyro sensor for detecting the motion of the mobile device; a user input unit for receiving user input through the mobile device; and a wireless transmitting unit for transmitting the data, obtained by detecting the motion of the mobile device in the gyro sensor, and the user input data, provided from the user input unit, to the display unit. The display unit includes: a wireless receiving unit for receiving the data transmitted from the wireless transmitting unit; a display control unit for analyzing the data, received by the wireless receiving unit, and determining content to be displayed as a result of the analysis; and a display for displaying the display content determined by the display control unit.
