PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical axis switching unit of a head lamp for a vehicle simply fitted to an optical axis adjusting system of a head lamp in an existing vehicle and reduced in dazzling light when a vehicle stops.SOLUTION: An optical axis switching unit includes: an interruption input part 10 and an interruption output part 11 which interrupt wiring connecting optical axis setting means 1 and a control unit 4 of an optical axis adjusting system; a vehicle speed signal input part 14 for inputting a vehicle speed signal of a vehicle; and a central processor 12 electrically connected to the input and output parts. When the vehicle is determined to be in the traveling state on the basis of a vehicle speed signal, an optical axis setting signal input from the interruption input part 10 is output intact from the interruption output part 11 to the control unit. When the vehicle is determined to be in the stopping state on the basis of the vehicle speed signal, instead of the optical axis setting signal, an optical axis switching signal for directing downward by a predetermined angle from the optical axis to which the optical axis of the head lamp is set is alternatively output from the interruption output part 11 to the control unit 4. |
