PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a training support apparatus which enables a subject to learn how to control the activity of a specific region of the brain.SOLUTION: A brain activity training support apparatus: applies light with a predetermined wavelength onto one or more regions of interest; and displays, on a display device for a subject in real time, the values representing the characteristics of the hemoglobin change signals determined by detecting the light of plural signals transmitted through inside the subject, and preset target values. Since the subject thus recognizes the hemoglobin changes to the regions (cerebral cortex) of his or her interest and can activate the regions so as to gain the target values, the brain activity training support apparatus can support a training to make the subject learn the method of activating the regions of interest by himself or herself.
