<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of increasing the charging amount and supply amount of a developer to be supplied to a developer carrier, while suppressing deformation and abrasion of a developer supply member.SOLUTION: A developing device includes a developer carrier 41 that carries a developer on the surface, and a developer supply member 42 that comes into contact with the surface of the developer carrier 41 to supply a developer; and rotates the developer carrier 41 and developer supply member 42 at a nip part N where both contact with each other so as to move planarly in opposite directions to each other. The developing device satisfies the following relational expressions: Vd≤Vs, where Vd represents the surface line speed of the developer carrier 41, and Vs represents the surface line speed of the developer supply member 42; and H≥15 mm, where H represents a range on the surface of the developer supply member 42 with which an arbitrary point on the surface of the developer carrier 41 is brought into contact when the arbitrary point passes the nip part N.</p> |
