PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector having simple configurations capable of facilitating disengagement of the connector.SOLUTION: An optical connector 1 includes: a ferrule member 10 in which an incorporated fiber 10a is held; a plug housing 12 in which the ferrule member 10 is stored such that a top end 10b of the ferrule member 10 is protruded from one end 12a; and a latch lever 16 whose base end 16a is fixed to one end 12a side of the plug housing 12, and which obliquely extends in the axial direction of an optical connector 1 so as to separate from the plug housing 12 toward the other end 12c side and has elasticity. The latch lever 16 includes: an engagement protrusion 16c to be engaged with an optical adaptor 30 at the center of the extending direction; and a connecting through-hole 16d to which an operation member 18 for releasing the engagement by the engagement protrusion 16c is rotatably connected and a wall part 16e forming the through-hole 16d at a top end 16b.
