The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for processing a data error for a distributed system. The apparatus includes a communication unit for performing communications through a communication network; a rule database for storing a handling rule according to an error check rule including at least one of attribute effectiveness, record internal effectiveness, entity effectiveness, and inter-DB effectiveness, and an error level; a data collection unit for collecting data from a plurality of institute systems; a data error detection unit for comparing the data collected by the data collection unit with the error check rule stored in the rule database, and detecting the data having an error based on the comparison result; a data processing unit for processing the data having an error according to a handling rule stored in the rule database; and a data provision unit for transmitting a data processing result processed by the data processing unit to a user terminal or an integrated database.
