Disclosed is an operation method of an access point for coexistence of a basic service set with different bandwidths. The method includes a step of detecting one among a first signal with a channel bandwidth of the access point and a second signal with a narrower channel bandwidth than the channel bandwidth; a step of generating BSS with the channel bandwidth based on a detection result; and a step of informing adjacent BSS of the generated BSS.
