A system and a method for controlling a solar cell lighting device are disclosed. The system for controlling a solar cell lighting device according to the present invention is a control system that integrally manages a plurality of solar cell lighting devices each including a light-emitting source that emits light by a discharge power of a rechargeable battery, and a control unit for controlling the magnitude of the discharge power. In order to balance the charged amount of the rechargeable batteries included in the plurality of solar cell lighting device, the system for controlling a solar cell lighting device comprises a main control unit for collecting information of a charged amount of each secondary battery from the control unit included in each solar cell lighting device, determining at least one solar cell lighting device required to control an illumination based on the collected charged amount of each secondary battery, and outputting an illumination control signal to the control unit of the determined solar cell lighting device. According to the present invention, the charged amount of the secondary battery can be balanced by using the characteristic of the lighting device. Therefore, no separate discharge circuit is needed and the energy stored in the secondary battery can be efficiently used. |
