<p>The plasma torch (1) comprises a torch body (2) traversed by a water supply conduit (13), a unit for creating a vortex of water supplied by the water supply conduit, an upstream nozzle (6), an electrode (4, 5), and a torch head (3) detachably carrying the upstream nozzle and the electrode. The torch body is made of an electrically conductive material having a thermal conductivity of >= 50 W/mK. The water supply conduit is made of an electrically insulating material having an electrical resistivity of 10 1> 1>Ohm.cm. The vortex creating unit comprises a downstream nozzle.
