The present invention relates to a method and apparatus of controlling a projector using a terminal device. The terminal device connected to the projector and receiving setting information on the projector and remaining electric energy of a battery, calculates operable time with a remaining battery of the projector on the basis of the remaining battery capacity and power consumption per unit time corresponding to the setting; provides with the setting information; requests the change of the setting for the projector according to an input of a user; and provides the operable time by recalculating the operable time according to the changed setting. Therefore, the projector can be managed and used efficiently by considering the surrounding environment and the state of the battery, by allowing the projector to be managed and used efficiently by considering the same. |
