The holding device has a head (3) with a gut brake (10), and a drive shaft (20), by which the gut brake is actuated. The gut brake surrounds the free end of a filling tube (7) of the filling machine in an operating position. The gut brake uncovers the free end of the filling tube in a sausage casing-lifting position by swinging away the head. The drive shaft is linked to the longitudinal axis (L) of the holding device at an angle during the movement of the head from a working position into the sausage casing-lifting position without uncoupling the drive section. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a filling machine with a filling hopper; and (2) a method for positioning a holding device. |
