Provided in the present invention are a method and device for transmitting uplink data in a carrier aggregation. The method comprises: acquiring information for use in receiving random access response (RAR) messages; receiving a synchronization instruction message transmitted by a base station; transmitting a preamble sequence to the second base station via the auxiliary cell; receiving, on the basis of the acquired information for use in receiving RAR messages, an RAR message comprising an uplink timing advance value; and, transmitting the uplink data via the auxiliary cell on the basis of the uplink timing advance value in the RAR message received. Embodiments of the present invention not only are capable of determining a solution for receiving the RAR message on the basis of the information, but also capable of ensuring subsequent uplink data transmission on the basis of the uplink timing advance value.
