<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a USB host controller for embedded devices has limitations on the number of peripheral devices to be in connection state via pipes.SOLUTION: An arbitration circuit 13 is installed in a host controller 10 that can be connected to a plurality of external devices via a plurality of pipe control circuits. The arbitration circuit 13 comprises an available state information storage unit 132 that stores available state information indicating an available state of the plurality of pipe control circuits 15 and is updated by a unit of data transfer of predetermined communication size. The arbitration circuit 13 further comprises an arbitration unit 135 that refers to the available state information storage unit 132, selects an optional pipe control circuit from available pipe control circuits 15, allocates the selected pipe control circuit to the external device, and updates the available state information storage unit 132.</p> |
