Provided is a technology for improving the charge/discharge efficiency of a power storage unit in an in-vehicle battery system. A certain embodiment of a vehicle battery system (1) is provided with: a first power storage module (10) that includes a lead-acid battery; and a second power storage module (20) that includes a power storage unit with a higher energy density than the lead-acid battery. The lead-acid battery and the power storage unit are electrically connected in parallel to a power generation unit that converts regenerative energy to electricity. The first power storage module (10) and the second power storage module (20) are disposed inside an engine compartment (102) of a vehicle (100). The second power storage module (20) is positioned further from an engine (104) than the first power storage module (10). |
