<p>The optically effective layer system comprises a substrate (S), a functional layer assembly, and an assembly comprising a cover layer (DS', DS'') made of dielectric, silicon and oxygen-containing material. The cover layer comprises titanium, oxygen, carbon and optionally hydrogen as essential components. The functional layer assembly comprises an absorber layer and a metallic reflection layer (RS). The cover layer assembly further comprises a transparent layer having a low refractive index of less than 1.6 at a wavelength of 550 nm. The optically effective layer system comprises a substrate (S), a functional layer assembly, and an assembly comprising a cover layer (DS', DS'') made of dielectric, silicon and oxygen-containing material. The cover layer comprises titanium, oxygen, carbon and optionally hydrogen as essential components. The functional layer assembly comprises an absorber layer and a metallic reflection layer (RS). The cover layer assembly further comprises a transparent layer having a low refractive index of less than 1.6 at a wavelength of 550 nm, and a transparent layer that is disposed above the low refractive index transparent layer and has a refractive index of greater than 1.9 at a wavelength of 550 nm.
