A secondary battery according to an embodiment includes a package where an electrolytic solution is stored, an electrode assembly provided inside the package and configured to function as a power generation element, a pressure release valve provided in the package and configured to discharge a gas generated inside the package, and an insulator provided between the pressure release valve and the electrode assembly and covering the pressure release valve at a position away from the pressure release valve. The insulator includes multiple opening portions serving as flow paths of the gas. |
