A second transverse groove provided between Lisfranc joint and Chopart's joint including the navicular bone, which is the highest in the foot arch, is deeper than a first transverse groove and is the same as or deeper than a third transverse groove. Thus, the remainder of the midsole is thin and plantar flexion for the shoe sole can be easily done, and the highest region of the arch can easily be displaced upwards. Accordingly, fallen arches can be suppressed even when exercising for an extended time. Meanwhile, a bending region containing at least one third transverse groove is provided directly below the talus bone and is wider than other transverse grooves. Thus, the rear part of the foot directly below the talus bone can bend easily, and displacement of the arch region in the upward direction is facilitated. |
