PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep absolute time in an in-device time information creation unit being accurate, in a communication device which acquires the absolute time using a network time synchronization protocol and reflects the absolute time in the in-device time information creation unit.SOLUTION: A communication device comprises: time information acquisition means for acquiring time information by using a network time synchronization protocol; in-device time information creation means for creating time information on the basis of a frequency clock and the like extracted from a transmission line; and time control means for controlling the in-device time information creation means on the basis of difference between the time information acquired by the time information acquisition means and the time information created by the in-device time information creation means. The time control means is configured: so as to correct the time information in the in-device time information creation means when the magnitude of the difference is smaller than a predetermined threshold; and so as not to correct the time information in the in-device time information creation means when the magnitude of the difference is larger than the predetermined threshold.
