PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the availability in the event that a communication failure occurs in a section between a control station and a base station, of the communication between a terminal station served by the affected base station and the control station, or the communication between a terminal station served by the affected base station and a terminal station served by another base station.SOLUTION: A wireless communication system comprises: a first terminal station; a first relay station; a first base station wirelessly connected with the first terminal station and the first relay station; a second terminal station; a second relay station; a second base station wirelessly connected with the second terminal station and the second relay station; and a communication control unit connected with the first base station and the second base station. The wireless communication system is configured such that, in the event of a communication failure in a section between the first base station and the communication control unit, the first relay station and the second relay station are wirelessly connected to allow the first terminal station and the second terminal station to wirelessly communicate with each other via the first relay station, the second relay station, and the second base station. |
