摘要 <p>The device (1) has a centrally drive shaft (13) drivable by an electromechanical actuator i.e. servomotor (6), and mechanically coupled with gripper elements. The shaft is rotated along first rotation direction. The gripper elements are placed at a center part of the device, where the shaft is rotated against the first rotation direction and extended away from the center part. The shaft comprises two coupling sections, where the second section is arranged along the shaft of the first coupling section. The gripper elements are movably mounted above the first coupling section. The gripper elements are gripping jaws or gripping fingers (2-5). An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a workpiece by a gripping device.</p>
