The crimping tool has a crimping die (104) formed from three crimping stampers (105), a base sheet (106) and lever (119). A force-balancing device is designed to accommodate the required residual stroke of crimping die as elastic strain energy in a state in which the crimping die is already blocked up the crimping of a rotated contact (102),so that the lock (124) clears the opening of crimping die. The force-compensating device is constructed as a cascade spring (129) having springs (131,132) provided in the lever and base sheet respectively.
