Method of rotary printing for printing a foamed plastic film

The method involves screening a print motif and transferring the print motif to a printing plate (1). Ink is applied on projections of the printing plate during a printing process. The ink is spatially orderly transferred to a foam layer of a foamed plastic film (2) to be printed by the projections. The projections are arranged in regions for pressure of half-tones or full-tones in a pattern of support points (3) and pattern points (4) of different sizes. Ink application areas (5, 6) that amount to more than 70 % of a base area carrying the projections, are formed.
