Provided are a natural disaster occurrence information processing device and a method thereof, which is capable of correctly providing a user with information about natural disasters in the user area in real time despite communication issues due to the disasters in the area. To this end, the natural disaster occurrence information processing device according to the present invention includes a DMB data reception unit which receives DMB broadcast data and divides and provides the data according to the data characteristics; a GPS data reception unit which receives GPS signals from a GPS satellite and extracts and provides information about time and location; a data comparison unit which compares the DMB broadcast data divided according to the data characteristics of the DMB reception unit and the time and location information of the GPS data reception unit to check whether the DMB broadcast data includes information about natural disasters taking place in the user area and outputs the natural disaster information; and a natural disaster information output unit which outputs the natural disaster information from the data comparison unit.
