The present invention relates to a pouch material for a battery, including a heat-resistant reinforcing layer. The heat-resistant reinforcing layer is composed of one selected from (i) aramid fiber prepreg in which thermosetting resin is impregnated in a fiber body with aramid fiber arranged in one direction and (ii) aramid fabric prepreg in which the thermosetting resin is impregnated in aramid fabric. The present invention effectively prevents a thin metal layer from being exposed to an electrolyte caused by the easy collapse of an inner layer due to external shocks, thereby having excellent insulation properties as the aramid fiber or aramid fabric with excellent shock absorbent properties is included in the heat-resistant reinforcing layer.
