摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device in which each guide rail can equally receive a load influenced by the shaking of an earthquake or the like. SOLUTION: The elevator device includes: an elevating body (2) driven through a rope and ascending and descending in a hoistway; a guide rail 6 erected in the hoistway; and a guide shoe 8 mounted on the elevating body (2), loosely fitted to the guide rail 6 via a predetermined gap, and guiding the elevating body (2) to ascend and descend along the guide rail 6. In the elevator device, the four guide rails 6 are provided on the corner parts of the elevating body (2) having a rectangular cross section or on the vicinity of the corner parts so as to oppose to each other, and these first to fourth guide rails 6a to 6d are disposed so as to face to each other located on the diagonal line.
