The method for assigning bandwidth includes: before a user plane is established in a signaling interaction process for initiating a service, sending a bandwidth assignment request for the service to a satellite device connected through an interface, so as to assign satellite bandwidth for the service. The method for releasing bandwidth includes: before the user plane is released in a signaling interaction process for initiating the service, sending a bandwidth release request for the service to the satellite device connected through the interface, so as to release satellite bandwidth for the service.
