PURPOSE:To improve safety, in a seesaw mechanism suitable for a device for moving a step member forward and backward interlocking the opening and closing movements of a sliding door, by obtaining a lock device which can surely lock at the slantingly moved position where its seesaw body is slantingly moved in the door moving direction. CONSTITUTION:If a sliding door is moved from the door opened position in the door closed direction, the tip end of a supporting axis of a roller 3a is touched to an operation piece 19a of a lock device R and a rotary body 19 is rotated to the lock release position, when the supporting roller 3a is moved onto a roller supporting surface 11r on the rear part side of a seesaw body 11. Next, when the roller 3a is moved to the roller supporting surface 11f on the front part side and rotated to the position where the see-saw body is inclined forward, the rotational lever 14 is rotated in the N direction interlocking with this, and a step member 16 is moved backward from the step position to the storing position through a rotational lever 14 and a fluctuation link 18. After that, the seesaw body 11 is locked at the position where it is slantingly moved forward by touching of a lock device F on the front side at the tip end part of the supporting axis of the roller 3a to an operation piece 19b.
