PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool that improves processing accuracy. SOLUTION: The machine tool 90 includes a main shaft 21 and a main shaft cylinder 41 arranged to surround the main shaft 21. The main shaft 21 holds a workpiece and is rotated by a motor drive. The main shaft cylinder 41 extends along the rotating axis 101 of the main shaft 21 and has a side face 42 that becomes a noncircular section when cut by a plane orthogonal to the rotating axis 101 of the main shaft 21. An oil flow path 31 through which oil flows is formed in the main shaft cylinder 41. The oil flow path 31 is opened to the side face 42 and has a plurality of groove sections 36 mutually arranged at an interval. The plurality of the groove sections 36 include a groove section 36p and a groove section 36q having a depth from the side face 42 which is larger than that of the groove section 36p. The machine tool 90 includes a block 56 in a groove. The block 56 in the groove is arranged in the groove section 36q and reduces an area in the groove section 36 through which the oil can flow.
