PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a good vehicular headlight device for preventing mirroring into a light shielding region while enabling the generation of projection light as so-called high beam.SOLUTION: The vehicular headlight device includes a semiconductor light emitting element as a light source, and a projection lens for projecting light emitted from the semiconductor light emitting element from the irradiation surface to the outside. Both the upper part and the lower part of the irradiation surface of the projection lens are control faces from which the light going out of the focus is emitted upward of parallel light. The projected light as high beam can be generated by the surface shape of the projection lens, and so there is no need to conventionally provide a reflector for actualizing the high beam. As a result, mirroring into the light shielding region can be prevented. |
