<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sand pumping method that improves sand pumping efficiency by enhancing sand collecting efficiency for collecting sediment sand of a sand basin in a sand collection pit.SOLUTION: A sand pumping method is characterized by collecting the sediment sand of a sand basin in a sand collection pit by injection water of a sand collecting nozzle, and transferring the sand by a sand pumping pump. In the method, a stirring means is provided which stirs up the sand deposited near a suction port of the sand pumping pump provided in the sand collection pit by injecting pressured water near the suction port. After stopping the inflow of sewage to the sand basin, the retained water of the sand basin and the pumping well is drained by a pump provided in a pumping well continuously arranged in the sand basin through a continuous arrangement part. When a water-level of the sand basin reaches the same level as the top of the continuously arranged part by drainage using the pump, the injection of the pressured water is started by the stirring means, and thereby the sand collecting nozzle is made to inject the injection water after operating the sand pumping pump.</p> |
