PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To structure a reclining device of a seat for a vehicle simply.SOLUTION: A locking device 10 for locking a backrest angle of a set back 2 includes: two wires 11A, 11B bridged between the seat back 2 and a seat cushion 3; two arms 12A, 12B which are pivotally attached to the seat cushion 3 and press the respective wires 11A, 11B in bent directions respectively by rotation; two tension springs 13A, 13B which rotate and bias the respective arms 12A, 12B in the above pressing direction; and a rotation stopper mechanism 14 which stops the rotation of the respective arms 12A, 12B. The respective wires 11A, 11B are bridged so as to pass a front side or rear side area bordered by a rotation center (a hinge pin 4) of the seat back 2. Rotation stop of the respective arms 12A, 12B by the rotation stopper mechanism 14 is carried out in a state that the respective wires 11A, 11B are respectively tensioned in the respective areas by biasing of the respective arms 12A, 12B.
