PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white electroluminescent device having high luminous efficiency and a long life, and a method of manufacturing a white electroluminescent device having excellent productivity and exhibiting performance comparable to an oxygen blocking formation step even in film production under the atmosphere.SOLUTION: A white electroluminescent device comprises one light-emitting layer sandwiched between an anode and a cathode. The light-emitting layer includes at least two kinds of quantum dots as a luminous body and a charge transporting compound.
