<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide components for (AlCr) X coated work-pieces such as a plane cliff tool, a metal-cutting tool, and a shaping tool, or for machine manufacturing and mold manufacturing, and to provide a method for depositing such a layer on a work-piece.SOLUTION: A work-piece or a component comprises a layer system comprising at least one layer having a composition (AlCr) X, where X is equal to N, C, B, CN, BN, CBN, NO, CO, BO, CNO, BNO, or CBNO, and y satisfies relation of 0.4≤y<0.68. A layer composition within the layer is substantially constant or changes in a continuous or graded manner across thickness of the layer.</p> |
