<p>Provided is a nibbling method that uses a nibbling mold having a die in which a die hole is formed, and a punch that has a punch blade that is inserted into the die hole. The nibbling method involves the following: (a), the punch blade is inserted shallowly into the die hole, and a half-punched portion is formed that is connected to a workpiece at three sides consisting of both sides of the die hole and the nibbling advancement side; (b), a tip portion of the half-punched portion, that is connected to the half-punched portion only on the advancement side, is penetrated and sheared by a cut-off blade provided to the lower end of the punch blade; (c), (a) and (b) are repeated an appropriate number of times; and (d), the punch blade is inserted deeply into the die hole, and the entire half-punched portion is sheared off of and separated from the workpiece. According to this nibbling method, scrap cut from a workpiece can be sheared so as to be short, and scrap can be penetrated and sheared using only the punch blade and the die hole.</p> |
