In mobile display system according to one aspect of the invention, an apparatus comprises a wheel adapter. The wheel adapter has a plurality of apertures and a plurality of lugs. A hub driver is mounted to the wheel adapter. The hub driver can include a bearing assembly and a generator (also known as a brushless alternator and hereinafter referred to as a generator or generator assembly). A housing includes a control module and at least one weight mounted to the housing. The housing can be removably connected to the hub driver. A light source is connected to the housing and the control module. A display media can be mounted to the housing, wherein the apparatus is capable of mounting to a vehicle.
