ELECTROMAGNETIC TIMEPIECE MOTOR, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome conventional problems concerning assembly of a rotor in a frame and to provide an inexpensive electromagnetic timepiece motor.SOLUTION: An electronic timepiece movement includes: a timepiece motor formed of an assembly 3 comprising a frame 6 made of nonmagnetic material and a rotor 4 housed in the frame. In a method of manufacturing a motor of this type, the frame is first made so as to have a lateral aperture. The frame includes: a first part 20 and a second part 22 each of which has a bearing, and the first part or the first and second parts of the frame are elastically deformable. The rotor is inserted to the frame through the lateral aperture of the frame by elastically deforming the first part or the first and second parts of the frame to increase a distance between two bearings of the frame. The elastic deformation is provided for inserting two pivots of the rotor into two bearings of the pre-formed frame.
