The rear axle has a cross beam, and two fiber reinforced plastic-made longitudinal arms each of which has one end portion for clamping to vehicle body and another end portion attached to cross beam. Each longitudinal arm is provided with overlapping spring legs extended between the end portions. The overlapping spring legs are configured to produce small axis moment of inertia with respect to an axis defined by one end portion parallel to the cross beam.
