A radiator having a major plane which lies parallel with the floor when in use comprises two panels 1 and 2 joined at an oblique angle defining an asymmetric inverted V shape when placed on the floor. The panels have pipe connectors 9, fluid flow chambers 8 and internal channels 7 allowing fluid flow. Bleed valves 3 are provided at the apex, and means may be included for allowing fluid flow between the panels. The panels are supported by a base 4, having support bars 5 and height-adjustable levelling feet 6. Fluid flow chambers 8 may include a heating element. The void space 10 defined by the inverted V may be filled with thermally insulating or reflective material, and may be closed by side panels (Figure E). The radiator is preferably used with a hot water central heating system.
|
