The invention relates to a loading cart for transporting and storing bulk material, having a locking device (22) formed by a locking element (24) connected on one side to a transfer conveyor belt (10) and on the other side to a frame segment (23) below the belt. Both locking elements (24) are spaced apart from one another with respect to a vertical direction in a non-locking position during operation of the transfer conveyor belt (10). A locking position can be achieved automatically by lowering the transfer conveyor belt (10) and thus the locking element (24) connected thereto onto the locking element (24) located below belt.
